Trinidad and Tobago is a great vacation spot and a beautiful location in general. But, there are a few hidden gems about the islands that I’m going to share with you. Both Trinidad and Tobago have amazing scenery. And they also have a ton of great places to go for a romantic walk through the tropical flora and fauna. But, did you know that Trinidad and Tobago are also known for their mountain biking terrain? You heard me right. The main mountain ridge on the islands is host to an exciting landscape for mountain bikers. While you’re making the steep climb, just remember that you get to coast down to the bottom. And while you’re coasting, be sure to take in the view of the beach and the forest from up the mountain – you are truly privy to a view unlike any other in Trinidad and Tobago.

For the Music Lover

While we have already talked about the steel pan and the amazing dance traditions that Trinidad and Tobago have to offer, we haven’t talked about the sick beats they lay down. That’s right. T&T is home to an amazing underground music scene. While many visitors enjoy the traditional music at the parades and concerts, the real magic is happening in the bars and nightclubs. Locals blend a variety of the musical styles and traditions of the island to create their own personal, unique sound. Why not wander in and check it out? Grab a drink or a bite to eat and enjoy music unlike anywhere else in the world. You may even be able to discover the next big artist before anyone else. Or, if you’re a musician yourself, why not jam out with some of the local bands and see what you can learn from each other. Or just make some beautiful music together.
