Lumbadive at Carriacou Island

Carriacou Island is a small island off the northern coast of Grenada. Carriacou is the largest island of Grenada. It’s most popular, and populated city, is Hillsborough. Hillsborough is also where the unique attraction I will be sharing with you is located. Many tourists conjure up images of the beach and fruity drinks when they think about a tropical island. While Grenada has plenty of those things, the island of Carriacou in Grenada is known for something that truly sets it apart from other tropical locations.

Lumbadiving in Carriacou

What is lumbadiving, you ask? Before you book your cheap flight to Grenada, be sure to look this up and book your tour ASAP! Snorkeling and deep sea diving are two of the popular attractions for vacationers. But lumbadiving takes it to the next level. Whether it is your first time or your tenth the team at Lumbadive is there to make sure you’re ready for your undersea adventure. With a variety of classes and tours, they make sure you are prepared both mentally and physically for your dive.

Why Lumbadive?

There are many places you can go to learn how to dive. So what makes this group so special? Not only do they care for the ocean and the creatures in it, they care for you. Each dive is personal for the crew and because of their investment in you and your dive – they remember you. Every review I have read of this crew has been phenomenal and what each person loves the most is the personal spunk and flare the team leaders have when they take you on a dive. Not only do they offer tips and tricks, but they genuinely want to get to know you and make sure that you have a memorable trip. They also offer a variety of knowledge about the area and the creatures you will see on your dive.

What You Need to Know Before You Go

Before you get out into the waters, make sure you’re prepared. I don’t mean for you to run out and buy your own wet suit. The preparation I’m talking about is in making sure you book the dive that’s right for you. If you’re not sure of your sea legs, start with something simple and close to the reef. When I snorkeled in Hawaii, I was more than excited to get into the water. What I didn’t know what that being followed by a sea turtle was more frightening than enjoyable! Be sure to call ahead if you have questions so that you can make sure you are set for the dive that’s right for you.
